Prospect Watch: After a somewhat tumultuous stint with the Padres, Randy Vásquez made his return to the Chihuahuas with an eye on getting his command and overall results back on track. Unfortunately, it wasn’t exactly the night he was looking for as a pair of walks and four hits led to four earned runs, including a home run, in 3.2 innings. Prospect Watch: The first game of the doubleheader was a breeze for the TinCaps thanks to Miguel Cienfuegos, who went the distance in the seven-inning contest and held it just over an hour and a half. The southpaw needed only 73 pitches to shut down Lake County while allowing only a pair of singles. The 6-foot-4 lefty from Quebec is 2-2 with a 3.22 ERA in 22.1 innings for the TinCaps, boasting a 1.03 WHIP in his second season in the organization after signing his first affiliated contract at 25 years old. … On a relatively slow evening for offense, Albert Fabian chipped in a pair of hits. Prospect Watch: Not only did Cienfuegos’ stellar outing net the TinCaps a victory, it also positioned Fort Wayne well to rely on the bullpen for the nightcap. A trio of hurlers responded to bring home an impressive win. Tyler Morgan allowed one run in three innings of work as the opener. The 23-year-old righty, drafted in last year’s 14th round out of Abilene Christian, was effective despite a trio of walks. Morgan owns a 2.81 ERA and 18 strikeouts in 16 innings of work on the year. … Joan Gonzalez, struck out four in two innings to pick up the win.
